2011 Canadian Business & Community Partnership Forum
Canada's only forum that brings together leaders in business and the charitable and nonprofit sector to discuss social initiatives and corporate community involvement. Business-Community partnerships have evolved from one-off donations to trusted relationships in which key players pool their resources and leverage their assets in order to advance important social and societal causes.
Presented by Imagine Canada and Volunteer Canada, the focus of the forum was on building and maintaining sustainable partnerships, promoting best practices and discussing how to implement programs that promote and foster positive change and impact across Canada.
We would like to thank the sponsors for their commitment to the goals of the Forum and for their leadership in corporate community investment across Canada. TELUS, The Home Depot Canada Foundation, PwC through the support of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada Foundation and Research in Motion have all supported this year’s Forum. Pfizer and Manulife Financial have made it possible for community organizations to attend through their Helping Hands sponsorship, while the Canadian Business & Community Partnership Awards are sponsored by Cenovus Energy.
The Forum featured over 15 concurrent sessions, Keynote presentations, panel dialogue, debate, roundtables, Executive Briefings, and presentation of the Canadian Business & Community Partnership Awards. Topics included impact measurement, community investment for small business, nonprofit branding, partnerships that last, activating national partnerships locally, strategic use of social media, working with global corporations, new models for civic engagement, volunteerism in small business, cause marketing, best practices in sponsorship development, recruiting and engaging high skilled volunteers, the latest research on volunteerism and corporate philanthropy and in Canada.
