As the national umbrella organization for Canadian charities, Imagine Canada believes that public policy decision-making is better when charities are at the table. In collaboration with our partners, the Canadian Environmental Grantmakers’ Network and the Sustainability Network, we will deliver a one hour public policy webinar.
We will explain the why and how of charities’ participation in public policy and what you need to know about:
- political activities reporting;
- the federal lobbyist registration; and
- engagement in the 2015 federal election.
We think it’s important that your organization has a voice on issues of relevance to your cause and community.
We ask that you register for this webinar with a Board member of your organization. It is essential that the Boards of Directors of charities understand the full scope for public policy work that organizations can undertake. If you are unable to engage a Board member to participate in the webinar, but still wish to participate, please contact CEGN: firstname.lastname@example.org. Our goal is to ensure that as many Board members and charity leaders as possible are empowered to support the charities with which they work to engage with confidence in public policy in 2015.
Spaces are limited, so don’t delay, register your Board member and yourself today!
Imagine Canada’s public policy work brings charities together to speak with strong united voices; we educate charities to help them get involved in the decision-making process; and we develop original policy proposals and respond to those advanced by others. This roadshow is made possible through the support of the Max Bell Foundation and the Ivey Foundation, as well as our local and national co-hosts. We also gratefully acknowledge the ongoing support of the Agora Foundation and the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation.
